Barn Owl No.2 - WIP

There were so many beautiful things today. The sun was warm and the snow fresh and sparkling. I could have chosen any number of birds to draw! They are all out singing and courting all day long. But the most beautiful part of the day was the start, when the sky and trees were lit up in a beautiful golden glow. Watching the deep, starry blue give way to the rising sun I was reminded (again) of the warm golden face of the barn owl with bright stars speckled across his back.

My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.
