HOUSE FINCH

I don’t know how I found the inspiration for this one. There is certainly no sign of flowers yet under this thick blanket of white snow! Even so, a house finch was warbling away in the tree this morning. He knows that spring is just around the corner. I am still loving the unique beauty of the snow and grey lines of winter. But today, inspired or not, I just decided to paint something of spring as a testament, like the singing birds, to the One who faithfully controls the changing seasons.
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.
